Has anyone else ever did this? I once was fitted for a mouthpiece but don't have it anymore.

It's weird the minute I lay down to go to bed all these thoughts(good and bad) start racing thru my head and I hear/feel my mouth doing weird things. Anyone else go thru anything like this? Some mornings I wake up with a sore jaw. I wouldn't say it is grinding my teeth as much as smacking my lips. Which to me is sort of weird as I have never did anything like this before. I know/think it is stress related but I feel my life is pretty easy going. I am not in any kind of trouble (financial, gambling, etc...). I wonder what is triggering this as soon as I lay down.

Is there a doctor in the house?

* if anyone states to stop betting against the Minnestoa Twins to alleviate my problem then:finger: .:missingte :missingte

I also might add it is just any movement by my mouth. Sometimes it is like I am chewing something (slow up and down motion), sometimes grinding and sometimes lip smacking.

Waking up sometimes with headaches and sore jaw.

Going to go to the doctor friday but just interested if anyone else has expierenced something similar. Like I said I have grinded teeth in past but this is a little more dramatic.

Ice,

Don't know what to say about the lip smacking, but you can do something about the teeth grinding. A dentist will tell you to get a mouthguard in at night ASAP. I had the same problem, didn't notice it at all until my dentist told me I had to be grinding at night. Luckily, insurance covered a good portion of the $200-300 mouthguard, but a mouthguard from a sporting goods store will work just as well for about $5.

it happens to me time to time...

i even had dreams of spitting my teeth...thats stress brotherman...some people have neck pain due stress and some people grind their teeth... what you need to is this...prepare yourself mentally when you are going to sleep...when u sleep you suppose to REST!!!,,..Try drinking tea or taking a shower before sleeping that should work..if not try imipramine (soft anti-depressant) and you will sleep like a baby
